Products and materials

Our products involve far more than what meets the eye. We are confident that high performance and durability are the corner stones for minimizing our environmental impact. Therefore, the finished product is always in mind to ensure we make the right decisions in terms of materials and design. These choices not only determine the performance of a product, but also its life cycle - and we strive for longevity in all our products.

Every new product must have a clear purpose and bring something valuable to the collection. It is all about exploring how we can use new technology, innovative thinking and strategic partnerships to take our products to the next level – in a sustainable way.

Each material and component must meet the established environmental policy. Our suppliers receive a tool containing risk chemicals for each component produced to ensure harmful chemicals are kept out of our products.

CERTIFICATIONS

Many of our materials and components are certified with Bluesign® or Oeko-Tex® 100:

• Bluesign® is an independent global industry standard for sustainable products and production processes covering the entire production chain.

• Oeko-Tex® is a global uniform and independent test- and certification system which works as an optimal tool for the textile industry to ensure product quality and to disregard hazardous substances in material related processes.

 

 

PRIMALOFT®

One of our Bluesign-certified materials is the patented microfibre structure Primaloft® Silver Eco. This insulation is made from 100 % recycled materials, where approximately 28 recycled bottles are used for 1 kg insulation and around 6 bottles for one jacket.

 

S.CAFÉ®

The unique Bluesign-certified S. Café® material is partly made from leftover coffee ground, along with recycled polyester, and offers natural anti-odour qualities, UV ray protection as well as quick drying time. Of course, it is free from coffee smell!

 

E.DYE®

e.dye® offers an environmentally friendly process for dyeing fabrics. It reduces water use by 100 %, chemicals by 90 %, energy by 50 %, and CO2 emissions by 60 %, compared to traditional dyeing methods. With the e.dye® method, the colour is part of the polyester fibre, which leads to the colour being better preserved.

 

NATURAL CLOTHING ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is grown without any chemical pesticides or fertilizers and does not contain any genetically modified fibres. Good for growers, the environment and the end user.

 

ECO-FRIENDLY BAMBOO

We are introducing nature’s own performance fabric, the Eco-friendly Bamboo fabric, to our SS20 collection. Bamboo is one of the most eco-friendly fibres, and comes with unique benefits; it is breathable, wicking, and feels incredibly cool against the skin. Bamboo fibres also provide natural antibacterial properties to prevent odour.

 

Re:Down®

Re:Down® is an insulation with 100% recycled down and feathers with no new animal input. It offers superior insulation while being light and ultra soft.
