Was het kledingstuk op maximaal 30°C met een wasmiddel zonder bleekmiddel. Sluit vóór het wassen alle drukknopen en ritsen en laat het kledingstuk niet weken. Gebruik geen wasverzachter en laat het kledingstuk niet chemisch reinigen, strijk het niet en was het niet in de droger. Hang het kledingstuk direct na het wassen op om te drogen. Om de waterafstotende behandeling te behouden, kun je het kledingstuk binnenstebuiten gedurende 15 minuten op lage temperatuur (maximaal 40°C) in de droger drogen.
